About Me
Dale Parria Jr. | Backend Systems Developer | Unreal Engine Tools | Full-Stack Projects
I build practical tools, backend systems, game development workflows, and web-based project platforms under BlackSheep Productions.
Who I Am
I am a developer focused on building real, working systems across web development, Unreal Engine tooling, backend APIs, game server utilities, and developer productivity tools.
My work is hands-on and project-driven. I care about making systems that are useful, organized, maintainable, and understandable enough to explain clearly in a professional or team setting.
Current Focus
- Unreal Engine backend integration tools
- Blueprint-first plugin workflows
- REST API and authentication systems
- Game launcher and update pipelines
- GM tooling and game server utilities
- Full-stack web applications
Project Style
I prefer building modular systems that can grow over time instead of one-off scripts that become hard to maintain. Most of my work is structured around clean workflows, reusable logic, clear documentation, and practical deployment.
I also value debugging and cleanup work. A big part of my development process is auditing what exists, removing unsafe or duplicated pieces, and making projects easier to maintain.
Highlighted Work
- UEBackendBridge: a Blueprint-first Unreal Engine backend integration framework for authentication, REST communication, and session handling.
- BlackSheep Game Hub: an Electron-based launcher with Discord login, real-time lobby features, and a manifest-driven update system.
- Project Task Manager: a full-stack hosted todo/task app built for a school team project with shared access and persistent task storage.
- GM and server tooling: custom tools for managing game data, debugging server behavior, and improving development workflows.
- APIs and backend systems: authentication endpoints, protected routes, deployment scripts, and service integrations.
Education
I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a concentration in Game Design at Full Sail University. Alongside coursework, I focus heavily on hands-on development and building real systems to strengthen both technical and practical skills.
What I Am Building Toward
My goal is to keep growing as a developer who can bridge game development, backend engineering, tooling, and user-facing applications. I want my portfolio to show not just finished screens, but the systems, cleanup work, deployment process, and technical decisions behind them.
