Project Overview
DesolateMMO is a solo-developed online action RPG focused on long-term systems, combat progression, backend-connected features, and scalable world-building.
Current focus
- Dedicated server + backend stack foundation
- Website + Discord authentication + protected areas
- Stabilizing core systems before content scale
Priority is reliability first - then expansion.
In progress
- Expanding inventory and stash systems (multi-tab support planned)
- Continuing combat + AI tuning
- Dungeon streaming flow improvements
Next major milestone
Skill expansion. Once the backend and dedicated server stack is locked in, development moves heavily into building out player skills for the four current character types.
Current baseline: ~30 skills already exist, with many more planned.
What exists right now
- Combat foundation + functional enemy AI
- Inventory + stash systems
- Paragon system + weapon proficiency
- EXP, leveling, stats, and skill points
- Interactive hotbar (LMB, RMB, and 1-9 hotkeys)
- Enemy tiers including low-tier mobs, mid-tier mobs, and boss encounter instances
Project notes
DesolateMMO is a solo-developed project. Plans will evolve, features may change, and progress takes time - but updates will continue as systems mature.
